Motorola USA recently made public the launch of its 5.4GHz Canopy Point-to- Multipoint (PMP) and Point-to-Point (PTP) wireless broadband solutions in the North America as part of MOTOwi4 which is geared to provide network operators, businesses, government and commercial customers’ full access to additional spectrum to enhance bandwidth-intensive data, voice and video communications.
The 5.4GHz spectrum offers 255 MHz of bandwidth, double the availability in the 5.8 GHz band which allows for the capability to locate multiple radios on a single rooftop with negligible interference from one another thereby simplifying overall network design.

Motorola’s has been selected by Uganda’s Warid Telecom to design, setup and deploy the company’s 802.16e WiMAX network in a bid to connect through high-speed mobile broadband the unconnected in the African country.
With the selection of Motorola to deliver high-speed wireless broadband network, Warid Telecom Uganda will be in a position to rapidly and cost-effectively provide mobile broadband connections to residents of the African nation. The project will be completed by the end of 2007 by which time residential and enterprise voice and data connectivity services will be available nationwide.
Motorola’s WiMAX solutions support fixed, portable, nomadic and mobile applications bringing IP coverage to virtually all areas for both private and public networks.

Motorola, Inc. announced the immediate availability of a new release of their recently acquired Good Mobile Messaging 5. The new version is designed to make mobile email experience more personalized and productive while at the same time providing enhanced IT control.
Good Mobile Messaging 5 vastly improves mobile email experience by helping mobile users get things done more easily while increasing security and manageability by incorporating all of the security capabilities of Good Mobile Defense product.
The new version provides a flexible mobile messaging platform regardless of mobile operating systems and robust IT controls.
New features of the software include: group and find emails by conversation, complete end-to-end calendaring including conference room availability, the ability to edit and send pictures and Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents, ability to access SMS, MMS and personal email from the Good Home Screen.

Motorola US placed a sizeable order for modified Smarti UE device 3G transceiver chips from Infineon. The Infineon chip is a multimode single-chip 3G RF transceiver that can handle HSDPA, HSUPA and EDGE. Infineon will modify the Motorola version by incorporating Motorola IPs.
The partnership is expected to provide an advanced 3G RF solution as its slim design drastically reduces the size and footprint of next generation 3G devices.
Worldwide mobile handset users are expected to switch over to 3G-technology as the technology matures and becomes a mainstream requirement for both GSM and W-CDMA telephone users.
Infineon’s strategic partnership with Motorola follows its alliance with mobile phone manufacturers Nokia, Samsung and Apple’s iPhone.

Sprint has recently announced that they will be offering the new Motorola ic902 to its alright large line of Walkie-talkie capable phones. So like every one else you are looking for a cool new phone and cheap, and like pretty much every one else you turn to the razr, so how are you supposed to set yourself apart from all your friends with the same phone. The answer to this question is easy purchase the new Motorola v3i razr in purple, this is quite different we have already seen the release of the pink, blue, and even red razr but purple this is a change.
So if your like many people out their and are going to get one of the Motorola v3i razr phones than you may just want to get it in purple, I heard it is all the rage.

Motorola’s introduction of the Razr’s successor the Razr2 V8 and V9 raises the performance and design by which consumers would judge today’s current cellphones from other manufacturers.
Although the Razr2’s size is almost the same as the original Razr, the successor to Motorola’s flagship model sports a bigger external screen display. Heavier by 30 grams than its predecessor, the Razr2 sports a 2.2” primary display and a 2” secondary display.
